The Pennsylvania Lottery Reports $5 Billion in Game Sales
The Pennsylvania Lottery made $1.3 billion in profits last year. More than $5 billion was made by traditional game sales like multi-state draws and scratch-offs. The money will be used to fund various projects that will help Pennsylvania’s elderly residents.
The Pennsylvania Lottery has made a profit of $1.1 billion and a total of $4.5 billion in sales this fiscal year. The previous record was $3.9 billion.
The Pennsylvania Lottery reports $5 billion in game sales. Scratch-offs were responsible for 71% of the total revenue. Powerball, Mega Millions and other draw games had $1.23 billion and Pick 3 was the third most popular game with $305 million. Online games also had a success and their revenue was $887 million, which is a $156 million increase from the previous year. Lotteries retailers in Pennsylvania bagged $329 million this year, a increase of $71 million from last year's figure.
