Spiffbet launches new Swedish online casino brand
Spiffbet says the new site focuses on Sweden, allowing players in the country to access a range of online casino offerings.
Supersnabbt.se will operate as a sister brand to Supernopea.com, a Spiffbet website already active in neighbouring Finland. Spiffbet also operates Turbovegas in Sweden and Finland as well as Metal Casino in a number of markets.
“It’s fun to launch a brand that so neatly complements our brand portfolio,” Spiffbet CEO, Henrik Svensson said. “We have Supernopea.com for Finland and Turbovegas which is broader and covers both Sweden and Finland.
“In Sweden, we have not had a local brand until now. Supernopea.com is a strong local brand in Finland and is the backbone of our casino portfolio. We have high hopes for Supersnabbt.se in the Swedish market.”
The launch comes after Spiffbet in August agreed to sell its game development business to Million Games. The deal to sell the division to the Swedish games studio is worth up to SEK3.5m (£261,814/€302,540/$318,731).
Spiffbet says the game development division has not contributed to its business for the past year. It added that the segment has been subject to a liquidation analysis.
The operator also said the sale reflects its shift in focus from game development to online casino operations. Spiffbet will solely focus on running its online casinos when the deal completes.
Spiffbet can offer games included in the transaction to players free of charge for one year after content has been added to the Million Games platform.
