Slots influencer Brian Christopher debuts his own branded machine at Plaza and Palms Las Vegas, heads to California next week
Brian Christopher, a slots influencer with over 1.1 million followers over multiple social media platforms and 300 million views worldwide on his YouTube channel, on Wednesday launched his own branded slot machine game, called Brian Christopher's Pop'N Pays More, at the Plaza Hotel & Casino of Las Vegas. On Thursday, he also launched the machine, created by Las Vegas-based manufacturer Gaming Arts, at the Palms Casino Resort, and will travel to California next week to see it rolled out at Agua Caliente Casinos.
Christopher, also known as BCSlots, had already debuted its dedicated area last year at the Plaza, which last month unveiled the details of four large-scale projects including downtown’s first smoke-free and "social media friendly" gaming area featuring an agreement with Christopher.
“I think it’s important to adapt with the time and social media, YouTubers are very important features in today’s society,” Plaza CEO Jonathan Jossel said, as reported by Las Vegas Review-Journal. “Nobody isn’t taking pictures of everything that they see, so why deny that? Obviously, you have to follow game protection, you have to respect people’s privacy. But as long as you’re doing it within your own space, we want to encourage it and embrace it. That’s what we do.”
Christopher said Wednesday’s livestream was his channel’s biggest audience of the year, with 19,000 live viewers. It gained hundreds of thousands more in less than a day. On Wednesday, fans gathered around Christopher, his husband and his parents each playing on the machines during the livestream.
Pop’N Pays More will operate in several casinos, including M Resort and Palms in Las Vegas, and tribal casinos in Arizona, Oklahoma and Minnesota. Christopher will be making a special appearance at Agua Caliente Resort Casino Rancho Mirage onSunday, July 17, where Agua Caliente Casinos’ ACE Club members will be able to take Free Spins on these new slot machines. All three Agua Caliente Casinos properties —Rancho Mirage, Palm Springs, Cathedral City— will feature Brian Christopher's Pop'N Pays More after Sunday’s launch event.
“As a slot manufacturer, we keep our ear to the ground and see what’s going on out there,” Gaming Arts CEO Mike Dreitzer said. “This market is very competitive. We’re obviously looking for ways to bring interesting value to buyers. They want good content and it’s always getting better and better. We thought that this was a great way, given where social media is.”
