September Betting Revenue Boosts PA Casino Results
The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board released its latest report revealing the gambling revenue figures for September.
September was another good month for licensed gambling operators in Pennsylvania. The gambling revenue last month hit $448,475,624. This is the third month in a row with gambling revenues surpassing the $400 million mark. Pennsylvania collected $182.1 million in taxes from all forms of gambling.
Sports betting and online gambling activities boosted the gambling revenue in September. Retail slots revenue was down 0.18% year-over-year, while retail tables revenue halted at $81.6 million. Sports wagering revenue this September soared to $50.2 million, up 77.74% when compared to September 2021. iGaming tables revenues increased by 22.15% to $32. 2 million and igaming slot revenue reached $77.9 million last month. VGTs’ revenue increased 2.66% from last year to reach $3.5 million in the same month, but poker revenue decreased by 9.06% compared with last September to only $2.7 million this year.
