Rockford Casino launches Sunday Jazz Brunch, WINESday events in March

ROCKFORD — Hard Rock is living up to its promise to bring live music to town with two weekly jazz events at A Hard Rock Opening Act, Rockford's temporary casino.
The Sunday Jazz Brunch is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Rock River Bar & Grill, the upscale casual restaurant inside the casino at 610 N. Bell School Road, Hard Rock said in a news release.
Live jazz is provided by the Stateline Jazz Quartet (March 6), Groove Hotel Quartet (March 13), and the Evon Sams Quartet (March 20).
The brunch menu includes chicken and waffles, eggs Benedict, prosciutto breakfast pizza, steak and eggs and more.
Three Wednesdays in March, "WINESday" features half-price bottles of wine and music from the Mario Dueñas Electric Duet (March 2), Tristan Sheedlo (March 9), and the Evon Sams Quartet (March 16).
Live music is 5-8 p.m. Rock River Bar & Grill's regular menu and the upscale bar menu is available from 5 to 10 p.m.
A Hard Rock Opening Act opened Nov. 10, 2021, with 635 slots, electronic table games and a mini gift shop. In addition to the Rock River Bar & Grill, the casino also houses the casual Midway Bar.
The temporary casino is expected to be open for two years while a permanent facility is built at the site of the former Clock Tower Resort on East State Street, n.
