Rivers Casino Portsmouth's grand opening has been delayed to January 23. The casino will be open to guests following a grand ceremony and ribbon cutting. It will include 1,448 slot machines, 57 table games, 24 poker tables, five restaurants and five bars. There will also be a BetRiver Sportsbook, which will offer a standard retail sports betting experience. The sportsbook will open ahead of this year's Super Bowl.

Rivers Casino Portsmouth will be the first Virginia casino to open its permanent location. The estimated annual payroll will $62 million and the casino will generate $16.3 million in new annual tax revenue for the City of Portsmouth. Grand Opening has been delayed to January 23.
