Resorts World Las Vegas Sees Nice
Resorts World Las Vegas is now up and running. The grand opening was attended by 20,000 people. It was a fraction of the 80,00 people who attended the opening of Bellagio.
The grand opening of the new resort on the Strip was a success. The public was allowed into the venue at 11 PM on Thursday. About 5,500 people attended an earlier private party.
RWLV was built by the Malaysia-based Genting Group at the location of the now-demolished Stardust casino. It's located near Slots-A-Fun casino and the 1960s Circus Circus at northwest end of Strip. The Riviera was the main attraction at northeast end, but after its closure in 2015 and subsequent demolishing, that area had been slow-to-revive.
Tommy Canale visited the Resort World Las Vegas after its opening. He found some things in the property reminiscent of the old Stardust. Nicholas Pileggi’s 1995 book Casino: Love and Honor in Las Las was inspired by the movie Casino.
