Powerball Ticket Bought In Leesburg Wins $50,000
LEESBURG, VA — A Powerball ticket purchased in Leesburg is one of three that won a $50,000 prize.
The three Virginia tickets won prizes in the Sept. 29 drawing. These tickets were bought at the Harris Teeter at 19350 Winmeade Drive in Leesburg, the Vienna Shell at 252 Maple Avenue in Vienna, and Kenbridge Market Express at 216 South Broad Street in Kenbridge.
Winners of the $50,000 prize typically match four numbers and the Powerball number. The five winning numbers of the Sept. 29 drawing were 2-7-11-17-32, and the Powerball number was 11.
No tickets have matched all six numbers to match the Powerball jackpot, which is up to $670 million. Whoever wins the prize can choose between the full amount in payments over 30 years or a one-time cash prize that is less than the full amount.
Powerball drawings are held at 10:59 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. The odds of matching the first five numbers to win Powerball's second prize are 1 in 11,688,054. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292,201,338.
