Powerball jackpot reaches record-high. Here's how to play in Delaware
One lucky Powerball player who bought a ticket in Delaware will receive a large payout from Saturday's drawing.
A $50,000-winning Powerball ticket was bought at the Wawa at 690 Middletown Odessa Road in Middletown, Delaware, for the drawing on July 15, according to a Delaware Lottery representative.
There were 12,549 winning Powerball tickets in Delaware for Saturday's drawing. There were 10,675 winning tickets for Monday's drawing, but no winning ticket surpassed the $200 mark.
As for the rest of the country, there were three $1 million tickets for Saturday's Powerball. There were more big-time winners for Monday's drawing, with five $1 million tickets and two $2 million tickets sold nationwide.

The winning numbers from the Saturday, July 15, drawing were: 02, 09, 43, 55 and 57. The red Powerball was 18, and the Power Play was 2X.
The winning numbers from the Monday, July 17, drawing were: 05, 08, 09, 17 and 41. The red Powerball was 21, and the Power Play was 3X.
Powerball jackpot approaching record-high
The Powerball jackpot has reached an estimated $1 billion with a cash option of $516.8 million after there was no jackpot winner for Monday's drawing.
The $1 billion jackpot is the third-highest jackpot amount in Powerball history, behind the world-record $2.04 billion jackpot won last year and the $1.586 billion Powerball jackpot won in 2016.

The next Powerball drawing will be Wednesday, July 19, at 10:59 p.m. ET.

How to play the Powerball
If you want to try your luck at the Powerball in Delaware, the cost is $2 per play, and tickets can be bought until 9:45 p.m. ET on the day of the drawing.
In New Jersey and Pennsylvania, you can purchase tickets until 9:59 p.m.
To play, select five numbers from 1 to 69 for the white balls, then select one number from 1 to 26 for the red Powerball. Buyers can choose between their own numbers or let the lottery machine randomly choose.
Those who are feeling extra lucky can partake in the Power Play, which can multiply winnings by two, three, four, five or 10 times for an extra $1 per play. Players can multiply non-jackpot wins up to 10 times when the jackpot is $150 million or less.
