Police crackdown on illegal online gambling site, confiscate smuggled goods

A joint police force crackdown and conducted a search of an illegal online gambling site and confiscated a cache of smuggled goods.
The operation took place on the evening of February 13 in Phsar Prom Cheung Village, Stung Kach Commune, Sala Krao District, Pailin.
After the inspection and subsequent discovery of smuggled goods, the police summoned the owner of the location, identified as Chan Veasna, a 39-year-old male, for questioning. Authorities reported that Veasna escaped when the police searched the location.
Police confiscated five monitors, computers, 10 CPUs and other materials that were smuggled and used in the operation of the illegal online gambling business.
Authorities confirmed that after the crackdown, all the above items were taken away by professional forces and stored at Pailin Provincial Police Station.
