The National Council on Problem Gambling and the National Research Initiative on Responsible Gifting for Online Gamblers announced Monday they have launched a research initiative.
PointsBet USA joins Responsible Gambling Research Initiative. The initiative aims to understand how various industry, government and clinical stakeholders would respond to a fictitious online betting customer with potentially problematic gambling behavior. The project aims "to gain more insights on the thought process that goes into finding solutions for those impacted by problem gambling"
The National Council on Problem Gambling and the Massachusetts Council On Gaming and Health collaborated to create an anonymous and voluntary survey. It will be given to those attending the National Conference on Gabbling Addiction & Responsible Gambling this year. There will also be three fictional customers with problematic gambling behavior on the survey who will decide on their best course of action.
