Las Vegas (KSNV) — A famous Las Vegas sign is getting some maintenance done as part of an upcoming restoration project.
Three pieces of the Flamingo Las Vegas Hotel & Casino sign on display at The Neon Museum were recently removed by a crane as part of a restoration effort.
The sign will be relit and restored by Hartlauer Signs and includes the hotel’s historic 1976 pylon sign and two feather plumes designed by Raul Rodriguez.
Officials with the museum say they plan to release a date for when the sign will be back in the coming weeks.
The Neon Museum is located at 770 Las Vegas Blvd N, near Bonanza Road.
