PDX Slots Launches in Michigan With BetRivers
Online casino content aggregator PDX Slots has launched in Michigan via Rush Street Interactive’s BetRivers brand.
PDX Slots had been awarded an online gaming supplier’s license by the Michigan Gaming Control Board last October and has now taken its remote gaming server live in the Wolverine State.
The new integration will allow gaming operators and developers in Michigan to integrate their games into the PDX RGS. As well as the real-money games, the partnership will allow PDX to expand its presence in social gaming through BetRivers’ social casino platform.
PDX Slots also offers features such as GLI-19 testing approval and game porting services, which offer the ability to transform games in order to be compatible with legal online casino operators.
Chris Housel, chief executive officer of PDX Slots, said in a release that the partnership is an ideal match. “RSI’s commitment to a superior player experience aligns perfectly with our mission to bring the most retentive content possible to operators,” said Housel.
Back in late 2022, PDX Slots announced it was gearing up for its launch in Michigan by partnering with Internet Vikings to leverage the company’s custom hosting solutions to spearhead its U.S. launch.
After finally going live in the state, PDX Slots intends to follow up its launch in Michigan by expanding into leading iGaming jurisdictions such as New Jersey and the Canadian province of Ontario.
“We are excited to partner with PDX Slots, whose focus on delivering a select number of high-quality games perfectly aligns with our player-centric strategy at BetRivers,” said RSI CEO Richard Schwartz. “We believe in prioritizing quality over quantity, ensuring that our players have access to the best entertainment experiences available at both our real money and social gaming sites.”
RSI already has several partnerships in the iGaming space including with major market leaders such as Evolution.
It has recently added more partners in the Michigan market, including debuting EveryMatrix slots in the state in December and teaming up with 1X2 Networkin April.
In its Q1 2024 results RSI, it noted that its online casino brands including BetRivers were a significant factor in a 34% year-over-year increase in revenue.
RSI CEO Richard Schwartz attributed the rise to growth across both online casino and sports betting in recent months, with revenue up for both verticals.
“This was accomplished by growing both our iCasino and online sports businesses by over 35% year-over-year, in large part by acquiring new players more efficiently while simultaneously increasing the number and value of our users,” Schwartz told investors at the start of May after the company reported its best quarter ever in terms of revenue and adjusted EBITDA.
