The expansion of Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort is being opened today. The expansion is more than $100 million and will be the first of its kind in the state. General Manager Wayne Smith says the expansion will offer guests a new level of luxury. The Bugler restaurant is themed after a racetrack bugler. It will serve fine food and drink. There will also be more square footage and natural light inside the casino. Smoking will probably be restricted inside. In addition, guests will enter into a concourse filled with natural lights.
The expansion includes a high-limit room with three high limit tables, over 80 slot machines, a dedicated bar and patio, The Bugler fine dining restaurant, spa and event center.
