A North Carolina man's normal routine ended with him winning more than $500,000 with one North Carolina Education Lottery ticket.

Lottery officials say Chad Lequire, of Whittier, bought his lucky Big Bucks Bingo ticket early Wednesday morning from PJ’s Fast Food Mart on Asheville Highway in Sylva.

“It was just part of my normal routine,” Lequire recalled. “And that’s the game I like to play.”

“I’ve never won anything big like this before,” Lequire said.
