The LVS North Florida Casino Expansion Efforts have come to an end. Florida Voters in Charge announced on Friday that it would no longer pursue the matter. The group spent over $73m as part of its petition drive and legal action. Most of the funding came from Las Vegas Sands.

The Florida Voters in Charge is winding down its efforts to bring Las Vegas-style casinos to North Florida. The group believes it submitted more than the required number of voter signatures to make the 2022 ballot. However, the committee believes that there are too many obstacles standing in its way, making its goal "untenable".

The LVS North Florida Casino Expansion Efforts failed to collect the necessary valid signatures from voters before the February 1 deadline. Seminole Tribe of Florida will maintain its control over full casino operations in the state. The tribe is also fighting to be allowed to control sports betting in Florida.
