Missouri Gaming Commission Receives Almost 100 Complaints on Illegal Slot Machines
Missouri has received almost 100 reports on illegal slot machines since the beginning of 2022. The state has no legislation to control and tax such machines. Missouri State Highway Patrol takes up the cases and investigates them further.
Since January 1, 2022, the Missouri Gaming Commission has received 93 complaints. About 10 of the complaints were about how to open a mini-casino. The commission explains that slot machines are not regulated by the state.
Most Gas Stations in Missouri have slot machines. The owners justify their presence by saying that the machines are not illegal. However, numerous complaints have come in from people who feel cheated when using the slot machine. Business owners that do not offer slot Machines complain that their customers prefer to go to their competitors who have such illegal machines, which is bad for their business.
