Microgaming crowned Platform of the Year at EGR B2B Awards 2020
Microgaming was crowned Platform of the Year at the first-ever EGR B2B Virtual Awards last week as Red Tiger, Kambi and Playtech also won big across the three-day event.
The Isle of Man-based firm was lauded for its “strong well-established platform” and “forward-thinking, customer-centric management team” as it fought off stiff competition from the likes of Scientific Games and IGT to win the much-coveted title.
Elsewhere, Kambi was named as the best Sportsbook Platform Supplier as Relax Gaming walked away with the Casino Software Supplier award.
The judging panel, which included executives from operators including William Hill, Kindred Group and GVC, presided over 39 categories ranging from sports data provider to bingo supplier.
On Microgaming’s triumph, the panel said: “A strong well-established platform with a wide offering of third-party content andd good commercial deals in the relevant timeline. Impressive entry from the industry giant, still expanding after 26 years with tier 1 contract wins such as 888, Mansion and GVC.”
Red Tiger claimed some haul with a record-breaking five awards, including best Slots Supplier and Mobile Supplier, while Playtech received three gongs and Kambi snagged two.
Due to Covid-19, the EGR B2B Awards were held virtually for the first time. The online-only event was hosted by Channel 5 star of The Gadget Show Ortis Deley.
