MGM Resorts has inked a $12.5m wage settlement with 2,600 staff from two of its casinos in New Jersey and Maryland.

MGM Resorts International has inked a $12.5m wage deal to settle class claims with 2,600 of its casino staff in New Jersey and Maryland.

MGM Resorts settles two lawsuits brought by table games dealers at the MGM National Harbor casino in Maryland and The Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in New Jersey. Plaintiffs Maria D. Maldonado and Laura A. Day filed their motion for preliminary approval of the deal in the New York federal court on November 12.

Maria D. Maldonado and Day won a wage settlement with MGM Resorts International. Dealers at MGM National Harbor and the Borgata will get average payouts of $4,500 and $1,000. The plaintiffs will each receive $7, 500 service awards.

MGM staff members have agreed to a settlement with MGM Resorts. The settlement is the culmination of investigation, discovery, litigation, and mediation.
