The Malta Gaming Authority has created a new policy called Ongoing Competency Criteria for Key Persons. The Malta Gaming Authority is going to introduce new Key Function roles for license holders. The new roles include CEO, Key Compliance Office, Key Legal Officer, AML/CFT Officer and Key Data Protection Officer. They are also going be more stringent in regards to the qualifications and experience providers must meet. Key Persons will have to agree and follow the new rules by the end of May 2022. Their application must be submitted and approved or rejected by September 2022, so they need to know about it.
