Macau police arrested 27 people from an illegal online gambling organization. They were apprehended in several mainland provinces. 15 of them are Macau locals aged 29 to 66. They face allegations of involvement in organised crime and money laundering. The organization has run several Internet-based gambling games.
The Macau police have found out that a criminal organization profited CNY25 million from illegal online gambling operations. The organization had an operational base in a luxury flat in Macao's ZAPE district and several other bases spread across mainland China and overseas.
