Louisiana: Belle of Baton Rouge riverboat casino plans $35M in-land relocation by 2024
The Louisiana Gaming Control Board approved the move of the Belle of Baton Rouge riverboat casino to land in a $35 million project. The relocation process is set to start next April and be completed in May 2024. There will be a 16,500-square-foot gaming floor, oyster bar/bistro, pizza station, wine bar and bowling lanes, sportsbook and lounge. American Cruise Lines will dock riverboats there for 10 hours.
The Belle, the oldest casino in the market, is being demolished and renovated. The renovations will make the casino boutiquey and fun. Hollywood Casino broke ground in 2021 and is expected to move landside in mid-2023. However, there are delays in construction due to supply chain issues.
