Lotto Ireland winning ticket location revealed as new millionaire crowned in record draw
Lotto chiefs have revealed that the life-changing €1million winning ticket in Saturday night's draw was sold to a player in Co Limerick.
The lucky punter bought their Quick Picket ticket online on Friday, December 3.
And they went on to match five numbers plus the bonus to ensure they will take home a whopping €1,034,454.
However the record jackpot prize of €19.06million has once again gone unclaimed.
The winning numbers for Saturday night's draw were: 07, 10, 26, 27, 35, 43 and the bonus was 12.
As the top prize is now capped, the money that would usually roll over was added to the highest prize winner.
And players in Limerick have now been urged to check their tickets after one punter scooped the eye-watering sum.
National Lottery bosses confirmed that a notification and separate email have been sent to the lucky Limerick ticketholder.
The online winner should make contact with the prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to claim their prize.
A National Lottery spokesperson said: “What a win for one lucky player in Limerick! An online player has today woken up as Ireland’s newest Lotto millionaire.
"We are encouraging all of our online players in Co. Limerick to check their accounts and emails very carefully today as one online player matched five numbers and the bonus in last night’s draw to win a life-changing €1,034,454.
"The Limerick winner should contact our prize claims team who will make arrangements for them to claim their prize. Since Saturday 2nd October, no additional funds have been added to the jackpot which has resulted in players at the Match 5+Bonus and Match 5 categories receiving larger prizes than usual due to the prize roll down.
"Across the last 19 Lotto draws, we have seen 210 players nationwide who won at the Match 5+Bonus and Match 5 tiers enjoying boosted prize funds due to the jackpot cap.”
