Cobhie shopper scoops just over €20k but is agonisingly close to €10.3m jackpot
A Cork lotto player is after scooping an unreal €22k, but they were also agonisingly close to nabbing the €10.3 million jackpot.
The lucky punter was one of three players who matched five numbers plus the bonus in last night's draw which saw no winner of the main jackpot.
The winning Lotto numbers for Saturday night’s jackpot were: 09, 15, 25, 30, 32, 34 and the bonus was 42.
So what do we know about our new winner? At the moment not much, other than where they bought their lucky ticket.
The shop celebrating the great win today is EuroSpar on the Newtown Road.
The other two who bagged the €22k prize were in Meath and Limerick.
Lotto bosses said: "The three winners who each win the consolation prize of €22,332 were from Cork, Meath with another player from Limerick who played online.
"The Cork player purchased their Quick Pick ticket at the EuroSpar store on the Newtown Road in Cobh, Co. Cork while the winner from Co. Meath played their Quick Pick ticket at McKeons Love Fresh store in Kells, Co. Meath.
"While there was no winner of the Lotto jackpot prize of over €10.3 million, over 123,000 players won prizes. Next Wednesday’s Lotto jackpot now rolls to €11 million (estimated).
"The National Lottery has called on all big winning ticketholders from the weekend draws to sign the back of their winning tickets and to get in touch with the National Lottery prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to claim their prize."
