Lindo Michoacan Opens Its Newest Restaurant at the Palace Station Casino
The Original Lindo Michoacan first opened in 1990. At that time, the family-owned Mexican restaurant only had 12 tables. Now, the Las Vegas restaurant is opening its fourth restaurant, this time inside the Palace Station casino.
Timed to open just days before Cinco de Mayo, the newest Lindo Michoacan borrows quite a bit from its predecessor. The walls, which used to belong to Tacos & Tequila, have been painted yellow and pottery and colorful ceramic line the shelves that border each room. But its new digs are a little gussied up — with sparkling pendant lights, touches of brick and hammered copper, and pretty tiles that run along a tequila-stocked bar. In total, the restaurant can seat 106 people in its booth and table seating.
Expect the same enchiladas, tacos, fajitas, and tableside guacamole found at Lindo Michoacan’s three other locations. The restaurant offers lobster tails in a Spanish-style garlic sauce, green chilaquiles with steak, and carnitas braised in Coca-Cola — a recipe that owner Javier Barajas’s mom used to make for him. And for Cinco de Mayo weekend, the restaurant is, of course, offering drink specials — like $12 Patrón margaritas.
Lindo Michoacan at Palace Station opens on Thursday, May 2, and will be open Monday through Thursday, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Fridays from 11 a.m. to midnight, Saturdays from 10 a.m. to midnight, and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Lunch specials will be offered every Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Original Lindo Michoacan is at 2655 E Desert Inn Road, with other locations in Summerlin and Henderson. The company also owns Il Toro E Capra, Bonito Michoacan, and Viva Zapatas Mexican Restaurant & Cantina.
