Las Vegas' Santa Fe Station debuts renovated high-limit slot room as part of property-wide upgrades

Station Casinos' Santa Fe Station casino in the northwest Las Vegas valley has opened a newly renovated, 4,500-square-foot gaming room with 70 slot machines, a dedicated cage and host office, and an upscale bar. The high-limit slot room is part of a now-completed property-wide reinvestment at the casino on North Rancho Drive.
Brent Arena, Santa Fe Station's Vice President and General Manager, told Las Vegas Review-Journal that the renovations are the company’s response to new home developmentin the nearby Skye Canyon master-planned community and other growth in the area.
Arena told the publication: “We’re really just looking to capitalize on the explosive growth out to the northwest part of the valley. With so many homes being built and new guests moving in, we have to keep up with that.”
The new high-limit area replaces the property's previous poker room. At the time of renovation, a new 2,450-square-foot poker room was constructed, which debuted in September with 14 tables and improved amenities such as high-definition TVs and USB chargers at each table.
The walls of the former high-limit room will be taken down, and the space will be incorporated into the existing casino layout, according to Arena. The executive also told Review-Journal that more renovations could continue on the property next year, but he declined to specify projects.
Other new additions
As part of the property-wide renovations, Santa Fe Station also inaugurated Stoney’s North Forty, which opened on October 17th, a country-themed nightlife spot meant to capture a "younger demographic." The 13,000-square-foot space houses an armadillo-shaped disco ball, a stage for live performances, a mechanical bull, and a 2,300-square-foot outdoor space with a fireplace, beer pong, and other interactive games.
Earlier in August, Santa Fe also opened Stallone’s Italian Eatery, a Brooklyn-inspired restaurant with another location on East Silverado Ranch Boulevard, next to the property’s race and sportsbook.

The Santa Fe upgrades are part of an inflow of capital improvements and new construction projects for Red Rock Resorts, the parent company of Station Casinos. This year also saw the announcement of property upgrades at Green Valley Ranch Resort and Sunset Station.
Station Casinos will also open the $780 million Durango hotel-casino in the southwest valley on November 20th, with more than 200 rooms and an 83,000-square-foot casino.
