Las Vegas Sands has donated millions to Florida recently. The company has been struggling since the closure of all casinos in Las Vegas. Most casinos reopened in June, but tourism figures in the city remained low. Las Las Vellas Sands operates a lot of casinos across Asia. It sold several of its US casino-resorts to focus more on operations in Asia, including The Venetian Casino-Resort located on the LasVegas Strip.

Reports confirm Las Vegas Sands has donated millions to a political committee called Florida Voters in Charge in an attempt to get a spot on the voting ballots to open a casino-resort in Florida. Several major commercial gaming companies have expressed interest in operating in the state. Many companies are interested in launching sports gambling operations in this state, as more than 30 states have approved measures to legalize it. DraftKings and FanDuel donated $17 million to the Florida Education Champions political Committee, which is pushing for sports betting to become commercially available in that state and it's also interested to invest in sports casinos.
