Las Vegas Hispanic Heritage Month Cultural Events & Shows 2022
Observed annually from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15, Hispanic Heritage Month celebrates the vast, vibrant, and diverse Latin culture and community. While the holiday begins with Mexican Independence Day, the observance lasts all month long – offering visitors in Las Vegas opportunities to see top Latin stars on stage, engaging cultural events and the very best Latin cuisine a culinary mecca has to offer. Cultural Events
To celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, the Neon Museum will offer special gallery talks each afternoon through Saturday, Oct. 15 during general admission (upon request by guests) to highlight the various historical stories behind signs and properties that specifically relate to Hispanic Heritage Month.
The museum also offers tours in Spanish every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evening.
The city of Las Vegas presents “20 Anniversary Art Exhibition: Celebrate the Consulate of Mexico in Las Vegas” through Friday, Nov. 11 at the Historic Fifth Street School Mayor’s Gallery.
The exhibit, which is free and open to the public, features original artworks created specifically for the exhibit to celebrate the 20 anniversary of the Consulate of Mexico in Las Vegas.
The HONOR (Honrando Orgullosamente Nuestras Obras y Raíces) Latino Awards celebrates the achievements of community leaders and trailblazers who have made outstanding civic accomplishments and contributions to the Las Vegas community.
A digital event, the celebration will honor the recipients’ work and roots on Thursday, Oct. 13 from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
The East Las Vegas Fiesta, set for Saturday, Oct. 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., is free and open to the public.
The East Las Vegas Community Center will offer entertainment, games, face painting, food trucks, community vendors, a kids’ play area with bounce houses and more.
Just outside the official National Hispanic Heritage Month, the Las Vegas Book Festival will take place Saturday, Oct. 22 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and will feature Hispanic-focused programming, including appearances by Latinx influencers such as author Prisca Dorcas Mojica Rodriguez and musician Lucky Diaz at the Historic Fifth Street School.
The Las Vegas Book Festival has programming for all ages, including panel discussions, activities, and workshops.
Shows
Continuing his long-running residency, music legend Carlos Santana will perform at House of Blues at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino on Wednesday, Sept. 21, and Friday, Sept. 23 through Sunday, Sept. 25.
Tejano/Norteño band Grupo Intocable will perform at The Theater at Virgin Hotels Las Vegason Saturday, Oct. 1.
The Warning, a Mexican rock band comprised of three Monterrey-based sisters, will take the stage at Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas at The LINQ Promenade on Friday, Oct. 7.
Lucero Y Mijares will take the stage on Friday, Oct. 14 at The Theater at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas.
Colombian singer Karol G will perform at T-Mobile Arena on Friday, Oct. 14.
