Konami Gaming has announced a new partnership with US cruise company Holland America Line that has seen its SYNKROS casino management system installed on all 11 ships in the fleet.

The launch of SYNKROS on Holland America Line’s ships aims to optimize the slot machine experience for guests, providing cashless wagering and quick access to information about their play, including points earned and easy redemption of any promotions or offers. Guests can also take part in on-demand slot tournaments, prize draws and floor-wide bonus events.

This latest installation forms part of a deal inked between Konami and Carnival Corporation & plc in 2018 for SYNKROS to become Carnival’s official gaming enterprise management system. The two companies are currently implementing the system across Carnival’s 90-plus ship portfolio, spanning nine cruise brands.

“The SYNKROS system – known as SURF (Serving Up Rewards and Fun) – offers exciting new features that personalize slot machine play and improves the experience for our guests who enjoy the casino,” said Marty Goldman, Senior Vice President, Global Casino Operations, Carnival Corporation.

“With the completion of the system installation across the fleet, Holland America Line ships are leading the way among Carnival Corporation’s portfolio of brands to deploy this exciting new system.”

Tom Jingoli, Executive Vice President and COO at Konami Gaming, added, “SYNKROS is part of a broad array of innovative initiatives and experiences available to guests on Holland America Line. Konami is committed to an equally successful implementation across Carnival Corporation’s global fleet.”
