In July 2019, commercial gaming in the state produced $281.5 million in revenue, with $116.8 million diverted to state and local taxes.

Wind Creek Bethlehem went online the week of July 20. The state gaming board monitors the startup of new online casino sites. Wind Creek paid a $10 million licensing fee to be among the state’s casinos with iGaming. PokerStars is the only legal way to play poker online for money in Pennsylvania. Online casino revenue in the State spiked after COVID-19”s impact.

Live dealer games are coming to Pennsylvania soon. The gaming board granted a license to a main provider of them: Evolution New Jersey LLC. The company has no comment on when such games might be starting and on which sites.
