Jackpot winner in Pennsylvania out of luck after leaving voucher behind at slot machine
To quote Rod Stewart; “Some guys have all the luck, some guys have all the pain.”
A recent casino-goer at Wind Creek Casino in Bethlehem, Pa., had both, according to Fox News.
The man, a 40-year-old New Yorker, won nearly US$2,000 at a slot machine on June 30 but walked away without his winning voucher.
Pennsylvania State Police say someone else spotted the prize, cashed it in and left the building without anyone the wiser.
The ticket was redeemable at any TRU (ticket in/ticket out) machine.
The casino had only reopened its doors the day before the incident, after being closed for more than a year due to the pandemic.
No suspects have been identified.
