TopSport has been caught advertising in violation with the local rules on adverts. Liquor and Gaming New South Wales has charged TopSport with a $43,800 fine.

It is illegal to publish any commercials that encourage participation in gambling activities in the state. TopSport violated section 33H (1) three times. The gambling operator admitted its mistake and pleaded guilty in Downing Centre’s Local Court.
TopSport was fined $43,800 for illegal gambling ads. Liquor and Gaming NSW's compliance director said the regulator will continue to watch the gambling industry in the state. The regulator is concerned about gambling competitions that encourage people to gamble more frequently. It is the first time TopSport has been found guilty of breaching any regulatory rules.
