IGT extends cashless gaming solutions to Oklahoma via Indigo Sky Casino agreement
GT is extending its cashless gaming solutions to Oklahoma via a Resort Wallet and IGTPay agreement with Indigo Sky Casino in Wyandotte, announced the company on Wednesday. The gaming venue will upgrade its IGT ADVANTAGE casino management system, becoming the first in the state to offer IGT’s fully integrated turnkey cashless solution.
International Game Technology sees the agreement as a golden opportunity to extend its momentum in cashless gaming technology deployments, as Oklahoma is the U.S. state with the second-highest concentration of gaming machines per capita.
The multi-year agreement with Sky Casino will see a phased rollout of IGT’s Resort Wallet and IGTPay modules of the IGT ADVANTAGE casino management system. By leveraging these resources, the casino will offer its patrons “convenient, one-step access” to funds from external sources, states a press release. These include credit and debit cards, bank accounts, and eWallets.
“As the demand for cashless and contactless payment technologies accelerates in nearly every sector, Indigo Sky Casino is pleased to be an early mover in this space by partnering with our long-time growth partner, IGT,” said Melanie Heskett, Indigo Sky Casino General Manager, who believes the technology deployment will “truly differentiate” the gaming experience in the casino from other venues.
The rollout of IGT’s gaming solution is set to initiate this year, and the technology stack includes the option for “carded cashless” and “cardless cashless” gaming. The first configuration allows the player to leverage their physical GO Rewards loyalty card and insert it into a slot machine to transfer funds, fund play, cash out and check account balances; while the cardless cashless model gives patrons the possibility to use the property’s mobile app to complete all payment-related actions.
In both options, players will create a PIN-protected Cashless Wagering Account to fund their accounts at the casino cage or slot machine, as well as through external sources. Funds in the account are securely maintained for the next play session or property visit. Moreover, patrons can also transfer funds between slot machines on site or withdraw funds into a bank account.
“In deploying IGT’s Resort Wallet and IGTPay, Indigo Sky Casino will benefit from the many advantages of operating a cashless gaming ecosystem and its guests will enjoy added choice and convenience on the casino floor,” said Ryan Reddy, IGT Senior Vice President Global Product Management for VLT, Poker, Systems and Payments. The Payments team is set to support the casino throughout the process, managing all aspects of payment-related services.
