Iconic Las Vegas Strip Resort To Get $1 Billion Upgrade
The Venetian Las Vegas is one of Sin City's biggest resorts. It was built in 1999 and has 36 stories and is more than 475 feet tall. Apollo Global Management has purchased the hotel, as well as its sister hotel The Palazzo and the Sands Expo center from Sheldon Adelson.
Apollo Global Management bought the Las Vegas Strip resort for $2.25 billion. The Venetian Expo will get a $1 billion upgrade. It will be the first U.S. location for Michelin-star winning chef Tetsuya Wakuda and Miznon restaurant chain. Lin-Manuel Miranda will bring his improv-heavy show "Freestyle Love Supreme" to The Palazzo. The theme of TheVenetians is based on Venice, Italy. They want to increase entertainment options from 70-110 shows per year to 700 to 1,000.
