Iconic Las Vegas Strip Casino Makes a Big Retro Change
Few people put Las Vegas on their list for family vacations. There are few activities or events aimed at anyone under 21. The city tried to become a family destination in the 1990s, but it was a failed idea. Now the owner wants to be a Las Las Nevada Strip oasis for families. It's not the same as Disney World or a state fair that mixes family-friendly activities with beer gardens and other adult indulgences.
Circus Circus is undergoing a $30 million renovation. It's billed itself as Las Vegas' most family-friendly resort. The Adventuredome indoor amusement park already has rollercoasters, roller coasters and a rock-climbing wall. Circus Circus also offers live circus acts. Caesars Entertainment and MGM Resorts don't market their properties to families. Mandalay Bay doesn't have a beach area. Las Vegas has stopped marketing itself to be an adult playground. There might be enough demand for one property to serve a different audience.
