Huron County woman takes sick day after winning $410,000 jackpot
HURON COUNTY, Mich. (WJRT) - A Huron County took a sick day after learning a Club Keno The Jack ticket she bought on her way into work won a $410,125 jackpot.
The 56-year-old, who chose to remain anonymous, bought a Club Keno The Jack ticket at the Speedy Q Market in Harbor Beach.
She watched the drawings on the Michigan Lottery mobile app before her workday started and was shocked to see her numbers match.
"I told my boss a situation had come up and I had to go home because my first thought was that I needed to get the ticket locked up in a safe place," the lucky winner said. "Winning truly couldn't have come at a better time."
She plans to spend some of her winnings on a trip and then save the remainder.
The Jack is a Michigan Lottery Club Keno add-on game that costs $1 per draw. Players get each easy pick numbers to match the Club Keno numbers. Jackpots start at $10,000 and grow until someone wins.
