Hotel room rates leading up to the Big Game in Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — With 19 days until Las Vegas hosts its first Super Bowl, hotel and motel room rates are fluctuating by the day.
For two people, from Saturday, Feb. 10 to Monday, Feb. 12, room rates vary depending on whether you want one bed or two.
Staying at one of MGM Resorts International, which includes Mandalay Bay, Bellagio, and Aria Resort & Casino, the average rate each night is $1,600.
When it comes to MGM's Luxor and Excalibur Hotel & Casinos, the average is closer to $500 a night.
The majority of those room rates do not include taxes or resort fees.
If you want to enjoy the festivities near the stadium without staying at a resort, a few motels still have a handful of rooms up for grabs.
Hotel Galaxy, which is within walking distance from the arena, is going at $353 per night, excluding tax.
At the Holiday Inn Express, the weekend is going for $902 each night and an estimated $232 in taxes, which will end up costing around $2,000 for the two-night stay.
A room with a view of the Las Vegas Strip will cost more depending on which hotel and what type of view is provided.
