Hard Rock Breaks Ground On $310 Million Rockford Casino
Hard Rock broke ground on a $310 million casino in Rockford, Illinois. The venue opened last November and generated $43.6 million in revenue in its first 10 months. Ho-Chunk Nation is expected to break ground next year for a casino near Beloit, Wisconsin. Hard Rancher Jon Lucas is grateful for the support he's received in the community. Hard Rock broke ground on its permanent casino in Rockford. The permanent venue is expected to generate 1,200 jobs. Temporary venue has 300 employees. Hard Rock and the city of Rockton have teamed up to form Rockfort Promise, which provides full-tuition scholarships for local students to attend Northern Illinois University. The funding has already helped pay tuition for 250 students at NIU.
