A lucky guest at Desert Diamond Casino West Valley in Glendale took home a fortune when she won an $842,984 progressive jackpot Thursday.

The guest, Alexis V, was playing the Sinatra New York, New York slot machine when she won the massive jackpot.

Alexis will join the Desert Diamond Casino Winner’s Circle.

“Congratulations to the newest member of our Winners’ Circle, Alexis V,” Treena Parvello, director of government and public relations, shared in a statement.

Desert Diamond Casino West Valley features more than 1,400 slot machines, plus poker, blackjack, roulette, craps, and baccarat.

Desert Diamond Casinos & Entertainment also has locations in Tucson and Sahuarita and is owned and operated by the Tohono O’odham Gaming Enterprise, an enterprise of the Tohono O’odham Nation.

The Enterprise broke ground in April on a new Desert Diamond Casino facility near Glendale.

The property for the new facility is on 80 acres of reservation land in unincorporated Maricopa County, west of Glendale.

Situated near Loop 303 and Northern Parkway, the new facility’s first phase will feature a 184,000-square-foot casino floor with 900 Class III slot machines, a poker room, retail sportsbook, and table games including blackjack, craps, roulette, and baccarat, as well as dining and other amenities.

Construction during the initial stage will include a parking structure and surface parking with 3,400 spaces. Construction of this $450 million project is expected to last approximately 19 months.
