Gaming Realms Acquires Ontario Supplier License, Gets Ready for the Launch
Gaming Realms has gained a supplier’s license in Ontario via its subsidiary Alchemybet Limited. The launch of the iGaming market in the province is scheduled for April 4, 2022.
Ontario is the largest state that allows online gambling and has a population of around 15 million. The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario provided the operator with a license at the start of March. Gaming Realms will focus on supplying Slingo games and after that, launch its full portfolio. 888 Holdings is known for operating brands such as 868poker, 838casino and 878sport. Bragg Gaming is also among the suppliers that received a licence from the AGCO.
Great Canadian Gaming is against the launch of online gambling in Ontario. The report claims that the province will lose billions of dollars in the next 5 years. The land-based casinos' tax on net gaming revenue is 55%, but the report estimates that online casino operators will be taxed at 20%.
