A financial director stole over £800,000 to satisfy gambling addiction.

Lauren Farr, 34, was sentenced to 32 months in prison for stealing company money. She stole £825,751.60 from We Fight Any Claim between March 2016 and October 2019. The money was used for gambling, making employees redundant and for family holidays. She was a chartered accountant. Ferr used her knowledge to hide the amounts siphoned from the company’s account into her own.

Lauren Farr stole company money by fabricating invoices and manipulating the accounts. She was sentenced to 32 months in jail. The judge was convinced events in her childhood played their role into her becoming the gambling addict.
