Yes, we’re always asked, “Where are some of the top places to go to experience Las Vegas?” The Fremont Street Experience makes our list every time.

Fremont Street is one of the few spots in town that combines Las Vegas history with modern-day technology and indulgences. Originally opened to horse and buggy traffic all the way back to 1905, Fremont Street closed off its throughway in 1994. About a decade later, Viva Vision was added—a multisensory attraction that covers the top of the pedestrian walkway and displays amazing visuals and music 24 hours per day. And in 2014, Fremont Street Experience really got people’s adrenaline pumping with the installation of SlotZilla, a ginormous mock-slot machine that reaches 12 stories into the air and features an 850-foot zipline and 1,750-foot zoomline. Riders can glide traditional zipline-style or shoot out of the giant slot machine like a flying superhero!

Fremont Street Experience is also home to several casinos, all within short walking distances from one another—very different from the main drag of the Las Vegas Strip. Great food, gambling, bars and shows flank both sides of Fremont Street inside resorts like The D, Golden Gate, Golden Nugget, Circa Resort & Casino, Binion’s and Four Queens. Hot spots like The Plaza, El Cortez and Downtown Grand are also close by.

All throughout summer and into the fall season, Fremont Street Experience also welcomes free live concerts. The main stage welcomes a roster of rockers like Three Doors Down and Seether on Sept. 5, The Generation Radio Concert featuring Journey’s Deen Castronovo, Rascal Flatt’s Jay DeMarcus and Chicago’s Jason Scheff on Sept. 25, the Barenaked Ladies on Oct. 9 and George Thorogood and the Destroyers on Nov. 6. And, for those that might be thinking about a return to Sin City, book your stay for Nov. 24 and celebrate the experience’s inaugural DrinksGiving Celebration with rocker Vince Neil performing, drink specials, pub crawls, drinking games and more.

“Fremont Street is the place to party in Las Vegas, and we are always exploring new ways to give our guests the experience of a lifetime,” said Andrew Simon, president and CEO of Fremont Street Experience in a recent release. “DrinksGiving is going to be the ultimate Blackout Wednesday event in Las Vegas.”
