Foxwoods Resort Casino brought in $29.4 million in slot revenues in June, down slightly from May but moving slowly closer to pre-pandemic normalcy.

Foxwoods’ slot machines generated $31.1 million in May, its largest take since July 2020. The gaming and entertainment complex officially reopened in June 2020 following the COVID-19 lockdowns that spring and reported $33.6 million in slot revenues that month.

Slot income had been falling for several consecutive months prior to the pandemic.

The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation, which operates Foxwoods, said $7.3 million of its June earnings will go to the state under Connecticut’s gambling revenue-sharing agreement.

Foxwoods is in the middle of Summerfest, an ongoing series of live entertainment events, promotions, contests, giveaways and parties.

The casino has also restarted concerts and comedy shows, with Method Man, Cedric The Entertainer, Weezer, Jackson Browne and Tanya Tucker scheduled to perform in the coming weeks and months.
