It took a lot of player interviews to understand how slot players experience the game. Players experience a theme and the graphics as a world. The variety in symbol choice is important. The theme needs to capture as many aspects of the world as possible. I prefer not using Royals, but adding symbols that belong to that world to allow players to sink deeper into the fantasy world of a slot game, which is escapist or nostalgic.
