Epic pushes ban on “Harmful” loot boxes

EPIC study claims that loot boxes in video games can encourage gambling habits in children. 30% of children surveyed from 31 schools bought loot crates or cosmetics in the last year, 19% gambled and 5% were in financial trouble. The study found that 55% and 88% said that the loot crate system is important to the game. The UK should follow Belgium and The Netherlands' lead and ban lootboxes in games for under-18s.

Epic pushes ban on "Harmful" loot boxes. CS:GO casinos allowed players under the age of 18 to gamble skins, cosmetics and others on the site against the house or against other players.
