Rumi Chhapia, 45, embezzled over £1.1m from a healthcare fund to fund his online gambling habit. He was jailed for more than three years. He made 65 transfers totalling £ 1,133,704.50 over a 41-day period in 2020. The money was taken from Portsmouth Primary Care Alliance Limited (PPCA), a collection of GP practices that Dr. Chapha helped to found.
