Demolition Has Begun on Texas Station and Fiesta Henderson Casinos
Demolition has started on Texas Station and Fiesta Henderson Casinos. The former opened in 1994 and the latter in 1998. Fiesta employees recently got together to say goodbye to the casino. They worked there for 18 years. They saw each other two or three days a week. Angie Johanson, a cocktail waitress, organized the reunion. She spent more time with the people she worked with than her actual family.
Texas Station and Fiesta Henderson casinos were closed during the COVID-19 pandemic. Station Casinos sold Palm Casino Resort to the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians last year. The company plans to demolish the casinos and sell the land underneath them. It plans the money from the sales to fund the development of a new large-scale casino resort in North Las Vegas.
