The head of Connecticut’s Department of Consumer Protection and the state’s Attorney General on Monday issued a warning ahead of March Madness after they said they received reports of illegal gambling websites soliciting state residents.

The state legalized sports betting both in-person and online last year, but so far only three operators have been allowed to offer internet gaming in Connecticut, DCP Commissioner Michelle Seagull and Attorney General William Tong said in a joint statement.
