KUALA LUMPUR: Police have destroyed over RM600,000 worth of pirated DVDs and online gambling control units.
Sentul OCPD Asst Comm Beh Eng Lai said the items were linked to seizures made between 2017 and July 2021.
"We opened 133 investigation papers on illegal online gambling between 2017 and July 2021.
"We also seized 886 online gambling control units worth RM200,000," he told reporters on Thursday (Sept 2).
He added that they also opened an investigation paper in 2017 over a pirated DVD syndicate where 23 burners and 85,838 DVDs were seized.
He said that the seizure was worth RM440,690.
