‘Claw’ game offers arcade-like experience at Las Vegas casinos
Go Go Claw is a controllable claw-like gambling game that's popular in Las Vegas casinos. The D Las Las Vegans got the first two machines on June 29. They were an instant hit. Circa Resort moved the upstairs machine to take advantage of the game's early popularity. The game has been field tested at a handful of Southern Nevada casinos, including three in Vegas. There are lines forming at both machines most evenings. San Diego resident Adrian Zamora won a few times on his first go at the claw. He could play only because an Aruze mechanic fixed the reeling mechanism about 15 minutes earlier.
Go Go Claw is a new arcade-like game at Las Vegas casinos. There are six machines on the market: D, Circa, MGM Grand, Aquarius in Laughlin, and two at San Manuel Casino in Southern California. The machines carry a jackpot of about $3,000. The game is physical and requires skill. It's similar to a slot machine. People want to prove they can win the game. Aquarian chose to test the machine because locals and tourists keep the property busy. They approach the claw game like they would at the arcade. A physical component adds a different dimension to the typical casino floor experience.
